Moto G for T-Mobile?

Any tests for call quality and data speeds on T-Mobile? AT&T's call quality and data network isn't up to par with T-Mobile's.

What I'm not liking is tmobiles current contract requirement for the so called value saving of 20.00 a month. I could come to them for a value plan and still be forced into that contract regardless of me bringing my own phone. That's the lop sidedness about the deal. This isn't about their new rumored changes regarding the un-carrier plans coming.

Yes, exactly. My factory unlocked iphone 5 picks up 3G, but falls back to EDGE majority of the time. Especially in buildings where I would have full AWS 3G support. Strange how we haven't heard a word about the iPhone being sold and how much on T-Mobile since they announced it coming.

T-Mobile will not stop selling phones with AWS HSPA anytime soon. Regardless of LTE launching.

TMobile primarily uses AWS HSPA. Dropping it won't help them. Their pcs HSPA is horrible compared to their AWS HSPA network.

Yes. AT&T's and T-Mobile both will use AWS for LTE. AT&T and T-Mobile's version are the same.

The 4S is one phone, but it depends on which carrier you activate it on, such as AT&T, Verizon or Sprint, that determines who its locked to. So, the iPhone 5 isn't the same way?

MetroPCS is a small company. T-Mobile would just change the current CDMA equipment and install HSPA/LTE equipment. Plus, MetroPCS uses PCS/AWS for their spectrum, and is currently launching LTE using AWS. This is exactly what T-Mobile is doing. It's not like T-Mobile buying Sprint, and have to change over all the customers/network. That is a different story, and would take awhile.

There's no incentive to being on an Unlimited plan, if they are going to throttle users at 2GB. They are trying to force people to upgrade to the 3GB plans, just to get off the unlimited plans. I don't know why people stay with them. iPhone aside.

Who does he think he is? He knows that if they are the only sole GSM provider in the USA, they will have more power, and would be able to persuade the OEMs to only sell AT&T devices in the USA. Plus, people won't have a choice when it comes to roaming in the country, or when they go overseas.

in the Article: Verizon Scores AWS Spectrum for $3.6 Billion forum

Many people cant video call on a phone like they do on their pc because the carriers put data limits due to capacity. If everyone started video calling now on a phone, the carriers would say its hurting their network due to lack of enough spectrum and backhaul. More spectrum gives better flexibility on what u can offer the customers without worrying about killing the network with congestion. Tmobile faced this issue before they got aws spectrum in 2006. They ...

Right now verizon has nationwide 700 spectrum, but only half aws. Tmobile has the nationwide aws spectrum. Buy buying this new spectrum from spectrumCo, they will have nationwide aws spectrum as well. This is what att is trying to accomplish by buying tmobile. Att has half the 700 and aws spectrum while verizon has the other half. They can hopefully offer true video calling and unlimited with out saying they strapped for spectrum and capacity.

The reason why att would not get this is because they just bought 700mhz spectrum from qualcomm. Fcc approved that. If att did this deal too it would be greedy of them. Verizon will get this deal done because they arent trying to buy another national carrier such as sprint for spectrum. Att is getting hit because they want 700 from qualcomm and tmobiles network which would make them the sole gsm/hspa provider in the us. Att could have ...

Aug 23, 2011, 4:09 PM
in the Article: WSJ: Sprint to Sell iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 in October forum

I know the iPhone 4 is currently capable of being sold on Sprint, right now. CDMA iphone 4 has CDMA/EvDO 850/1900, which sprint can use, since it has the 1900 band. That means, they will get the "rumored" cheap 8GB iphone 4. What about T-Mobile? If AT&T doesn't have the exclusive anymore, there is no reason why T-Mobile can't sell it. Apple is capable of putting the AWS band on it, for GSM/EDGE/HSPA+.
