this is the only way you even turn the phone off once you've got the white screen of death. the power button won't even work at that point.

White screen of death is when the phone somehow dies and is permanently stuck with a blank, white screen. take a stroll over to howardforums to see that there have been many others with this same issue.

The w600, while buggy as hell, does do one thing right: signal strength. Using Cingular in socal, the w600 holds calls in places no other GSM phone i own can.
I work in a canyon area near thousand oaks where i can only get reception outdoors - and only if i'm using a phone with 800MHz GSM capabilities. But not only can the w600 make and recieve calls outdoors at my office, but it will hold onto a usable ...
