Re: To Data or Not to Data
How many forums did you post this in?
Re: data plans
If you have a PDA AT&T - like all carriers - will require a data plan.
Re: TP2 AVAILABILITY
It's in every corporate Sprint store.
Re: touch pro 2 alarm clock and blackberry connect
BB Connect was never released for Sprint.
Re: Syncronizing the Droid with Corporate Microsoft Exchange Server
Other than remote wipe I don't think any of those security requirements are available.
Re: Sprint Plan Problem
Double post much? All carriers require data plans on smart phones and PDA's.
Re: Sprint Plan Problem
Welcome to reality. All carriers require/enforce data plans for smart phones and PDA's.
Re: CDMA / iDEN hybrid phone
Bring back? The ic502 is available today.
Re: HTC Touch Pro as a modem
First - make certain you have a data plan with PAM.
Second - you don't use Sprint SmartView. Install the MS ActiveSync software that came with the device. When you want to tether go to the Internet Sharing program and activate it. You can connect to the PC via USB or Bluetooth.
Re: palm pre apps??
There is an app store for the Pre. Considering how new the phone is the number of apps is limited. The iPhone has been out for three years - of course it will have more apps. Give Palm a couple months - or even a year - and their app store will be just as good.
Re: BlackBerry Tour Releases July 12, 2009
You can roam on VZ's 1X network but not EVDO. Sprint only has EVDO roaming with Alltel.
Re: Question about the BB Tour coming to Sprint...
Yes pre-orders are available - at least for business customers.
Re: Palm Pro 6.5?
Since 6.5 isn't available there won't be a way to know until it officially releases.
Re: Palm Pro help
Don't use the Sprint SmartView.
Install the ActiveSync software.
On the Pro enable Internet Sharing.
Tether the phone.
You now have your modem.
Re: Blackberry Niagra and Pearl 2 coming to Sprint
Ummm Sprint's current Pearl is the Pearl 2. Look at the posting from BB Cool - it's from 2007 and it compares the 7130 to the Pearl.
Re: SIM card?
Powersource phones store the contacts on the device and not the SIM.
iDEN phones store contacts on the SIM.
Re: Does nextel track the phone or the sim chip
We have customers swap SIMs to different handsets all the time. There is no issue with that.
If you break the phone - that is a different story. Service Centers verify SIM cards with the original MSN's to verify the correct model and may not service the phone if the original SIM is no longer in it.
Re: BB CURVE
The BB has tons of software available - more than the Instinct. There are many places to buy from - Handango, etc.
Re: Sprint BB Curve
A. Yes you keep all the features - data, Web, text, navigation, etc that are on the instinct
B. Sprint BB completely open and you can use any GPS app you like.
Yes - SMS - Short Message Service - is limited to 160 characters.
Re: Sprint airave battery drain
Are you using the NDC feature of the Pro 700? That requires EVDO Rev A which explains why it will be trying to locate the tower. The Airave only provides cellular service.
Re: FREAKING LOVE THE CURVE, BUT.......
You can use any MP3 for a ring tone. PLug your BB into your computer and simply save it on the SD card.
Re: Verizon, Nextel or Sprint
You understand Nextel and Sprint are the same company now? If you don't need the direct connect Sprint has other BB's on the CDMA network and other phone choices as well.
Re: XOHM & WIMAX?.......
WiMAX is the techology. XOHM is the product name for the technology from Sprint.
Re: Sprint Curve(8330) Coming Soon
you get Sprint EVDO - you don't need WiFi. Only slow GSM carriers do.....
Re: fieldforce or equivalent for PDA's, BB?
What exactly are you looking for? There are plenty of apps for the BB and WinMob OS.
Re: Good way to Sync Email with my Phone?!
If you get the paid version of Yahoo - $20.00 annually - you don't need any third party software or services.
Re: COMPETITION > sprint
Keep in mind the prices you see in the ads are focused at "new" customers. AT&T, and all carriers offer different prices for current customers.
Re: Wireless router for mobile broadband
Linksys is the device you are thinking of. You can order it directly through Sprint.
Re: Why?
Free Incoming plans are available on CDMA as well.
Re: does anyone else think that the vzw pearl.....
VZ's appears to be chrome - finger print and dirt haven!
Re: Connecting to Power Vision
I have Good running on a 7554 and don't have this issue. The sync occurs in the background. Sounds like a problem.
Re: Oqo Model 2
Embedded EVDO Rev A chipset and it provides data only. Standard EVDO plan is what you pay.
Re: Does sprint have coverage (or roaming) in Canada?
To reduce international romaing he should have contacted the international department www.sprint.com/internation to make certain it was enabled on his handset.
Re: I HAVE REV A NOW....
Sorry. Rev 0 on the Treo - no rev A.
Re: iphone
Yeah downlaoding music/videos on the EDGE network will be oh so fun.....
Re: iphone
Just wait till you download music or a video or the air. You'll quickly understand how important a faster data network is at that point.
Re: iphone
Why? The iphone is EDGE only as well. What a waste!
Re: J2ME: how many phones support it?
Don't forget iDEN - 99% of iDEN handsets are J2ME as well.
Re: I had to share this with somebody,
Chances are that kiosk was a Sprint/Nextel indirect dealer. Don't let one idiotic 18 year old kid ruin your impression. Go to a Sprint/Nextel corporate retail store. Your experience will be much beter.
Re: CAN ANYONE GIVE ME A DIFINITIVE ANSWER???
If you are using the BIS to sync Email and the Desktop Manager software to sync Contacts, Calendar, etc. - then YES you can sync between mulitple computers.
If you are on a BES server it may not be allowed - depends on the IT Policies on the device.
