I agree with you guys that they run off different technologies cuz they do....but if att bought out sprint.....they now own towers everywhere sprint did.....thus making it easier and cheaper to put up single modular attenaes on these towers....and charge a roaming fee to cdma providers.....not a horribly bad business move if you ask me....and just cuz he said he heard it doesnt mean he thinks he knows everything....just my 2 cents and good find if this is for ...

You can unlock the phone but make sure you are using cdma and not the wcdma...they are 2 completely different technologies....i was unaware of any country besides american using cdma.....

Lucky for you Nokia's are the easiest todo.....just download the nokia pc suite....install....it will install all the necessary drivers then use the connect to internet with phone option and it should load up and be surfing the net :) good luck and hope this helps.... boomer

just go into the settings in the "connections" settings for the wap/web....the settings can be found on att and tmobiles websites....

nokia's use -s40 and s60 and all the others that are not palm, windows, iphone, android based...im pretty sure are all gui (generic user interface) not sure if the individual manufacturers use the same one or if they tie in their own brand into the interface...good luck researching it....google is probably ur best friend in this immediate instance..good luck

I believe the samsung should work over there.....it has the 3g wcdma frequency which is all the japanese use anymore if im not mistaken....contact att and make sure on the facts ive been wrong before and i will be in the future... :)....but im pretty sure you should be fine assuming you get it unlocked....i had a customers v3xx work over there so the sync should as well.....

most likely yes.....search the model number on phonescoop here and as long as you have the phone unlocked and it has the required frequency it will work fine in china....

skyway is mistaken in his statement....go to xdc-developers.com it is possible ppl "cook" up roms all the time with this technology in it....dont know if the 8125 processor would handle it well w/o laggin....but try it and find out...u can always go back to the original rom (software) good luck....

You can either unlock them by brute force and actually take the carrier lock off the software, or it is done via an algorithm when you send in the imei. Each make/carrier has their own algorithm to how the unlock code is figured. Not sure where you could "buy" that knowledge. Good luck
