I know they dropped q chat recently and put more focus on iden services, but the nextel blackberry selection is poor. I would love to be able to push to talk with other people on my tour. Ready link wasn't bad when it was used a while ago, only downside was the 3 sec delay.

ehhh maybe you should do your research on that one. I've had a blackberry for years and when the blackberry noc goes down (which rarely does), the only service that gets affected is push email. Texting, internet, and phone calls work fine just like any other phoen would.
Also, the blackberry bold will be coming out for sprint sometime between may and july.

the new curve is a steal for only $50. it wasn't meant to be an update to the tour. If you want a newer version of the tour wait a month or two, the tour 2 with wifi, 2 gb internal memory, trackpad, and 5.0 os will be released. that phone will prob cost at least 200 with a 2 yr.

you can't on this phone's os. what you need to do is go to custom profiles, under the sound profile menu, and create your own profile with your own specific settings.
This will allow you to set which notifications will vibrate and so on.

I currently have a blackberry curve and I am thinking about switching to a windows mobile phone soley for the ability to use threaded text messaging.
My last windows mobile phone, the touch pro, had a lousy alarm clock that would stop ringing after a minute and just simply leave a message saying: MISSED EVENT. The blackberry alarm clock will continue to ring until you stop it which is what an alarm clock is supposed to be.

I just got the problem fixed. Went to the sprint store and they said the prongs inside the mini usb connection in the phone were bent up where the connection wasn't consistent. They fixed it by bending them down. It might be a temporary solution but at this point i dont know.
Blackberry Curve 4.5 txt messaging
Does anyone know if the new 4.5 released from blackberry will work for my sprint curve, or should I wait for a release from Sprint?
Also, does the 4.5 allow for user to send text messages longer than 160 characters (the phone's UI would automatically seperate the message into as many messages as necessary if longer than 160 much like the touch pro does)??

Computer won't recognize blackberry 8330
Hi, i have the 8330 for sprint and I am having trouble getting the computer to detect the curve. I am running windows vista 64 bit on my computer and everytime i connect the phone via USB the charging icon on the phone shows up for a few seconds and disapears. Blackberry desktop manager isn't recognizing any device when connected to the computer via USB.
I tried calling sprint tech support but she said it isn't compatible with 64 ...

ya no it takes a while to send an email cuz u have to look up the number of every person u want to send the pic mail to, figure out wat phone company they are with and then put them together for each person when you send the picture to... thats bs...

Does anybody know if sprint will enable picture mail on the curve anytime soon? I saw a few articles saying that they will enable it for the mogul and touch with winmo6.1 but haven't seen anything with the blackberry phones. this phones looks awesome but i NEED picture mail (and using the email address to send pictures via email is stupid).

Why does sprint not allow MMS on their smart phones/PDA phones?? Does anyone know why? the only smart phone with this feature that i know of is the treo phones. I am currently using a centro and i want to switch the curve but this pic mail bs sux.

Does anyone know about the MMS messaging capabilities for Sprint? Is it gonna be cripled like it is on the Pearl? According to the specs on phonescoop it says "yes" for MMS but that might be for verizon.

Does anyone know if the centro or treo 755p will have future GPS availability internally (not with telenav or garmin with external GPS receiver), so that i can use sprint navigator.
maybe a software update allowing this? I know the touch and mogul will in a month or two.
