Sprint W2
Just curious, I stopped working for Sprint in early 2011, can anyone put me in touch with the HR department that can get me setup for the online W2 site?
Thanks!
Explanation...
"If you buy the Sprint 4G EVO, you have to pay this $10 charge each month. This is specific to the device. It’s not related to whether you are using 3G or 4G. It is required if you have the phone.
Because the phone has a faster processor, a huge 4.3 inch screen and an 8 megapixel camcorder/camera, we expect you will be using a lot more data than you would with our other devices. These features will give you ...

Re: It should work both ways...
Last time I checked the Evo can play flash files in the browser... In fact, I like to hit up Fox.com and catch up on House during down time. Then there's streaming video with Qik, sending HD pictures and video, widgets continually sending and receiving information... So, tell me how my Tour used more data?

Re: Long Term plan for Indirect Channel?
Go corporate, that's what I did. Or go work for a larger Indirect Dealer. I left United Cellular, they've got big plans and are the largest 3rd party dealer.

Re: SERO Premium Plan
You'll be waiting for quite some time. Unless you're buying it elsewhere you won't be getting it on a Sero plan for a long time still.

We'll be getting the Curve 9330 at some point, which will have BB OS6.

So it's confirmed, Galaxy S tablet is coming to Sprint. Very excited.

Re: WebOS
I would guess so. I've read some news about WebOS 2.0, looking forward to a powerhouse device with WebOS. I think I read something about Palm partnering to develop their OS with the Unreal game engine. Badass gaming device?

Re: NEW PHONES
I only listed devices that have some confirmability. BB flip has been confirmed, at least partially, on BGR. Sanyo rep. has already confirmed the Zio.
I wouldn't hold my breath on the 4G BB, RIM will not sacrifice battery life and reliability... and as of right now 4G is killing batteries.

Re: NEW PHONES
From what I've heard we can expect some new BB devices, like a BB flip. Also, Sanyo will be rolling out the Zio to Sprint according to the Sanyo rep.

Re: Looks Like a sign of respect
Indeed, I think this is a sign that Sprint may be on the mend and giving Vzw/AT&T a run for their money.

One can safely assume the site is oriented toward US users given the absence of international mobile news. Also, please take note of the Carriers section.

And you are actually praising Sprint's WiMax? That's available in 4 cities and is NOT going to be the 4G standard that the rest of the planet adopts? Why?.

Quite a few more than 4 I'd say, and growing.
TMobile is garbage. 'Nuff said.

We were arguing that LTE is not here, not that it will never be here. Good job throwing up a stawman argument though.

Re: Well...
Can someone point me in the direction of an LTE device and LTE service? I'm confused... WiMax is already rolled out, Evo coming out, how is LTE already here when it isn't already here?

Re: New blackberrys by june or july
How many Black Berry phones are floating around on Sprint compared with Android? We get a ton of Treos in our ASC. Biggest offender is the i580, 8350i and Treo Pro.

Re: Nexus One
Got that the other day, it's pretty lame that we won't be selling it in store. Customers order it online then come in to complain, then we'll have to deal with the inevitable questions of why we don't carry it in store and why they can't return it in store...

Re: Why does the Storm suck?
Carried a Treo 700WX for a few months, vowed to never carry a Palm again. Then they handed me a Palm Pre, free, and I started using it. After tweaking a bit with Preware I'm absolutely satisfied with it.

Re: iPhone or Nexus One on Sprint in 2010?
And?
Re: Why does the Storm suck?
I was getting JVM errors and also had a touch screen go out. I asked about a different model and was told that I was SOOL. It's kind of sad, the bill I was paying for Verizon is now going toward about 80% of a new car payment. Lulz.

Why does the Storm suck?
What gives BB/Verizon? I've had the Storm for a total of 7 months and have replaced it 5 times. Called yesterday and canceled my service. I'd rather pay my $140 ETF over of my $130+ phone bill monthly for a phone that doesn't work. So promising, when it works I love it. Now I've got a Palm Pre with Sprint, employee plan and phone provided by Sprint... Going to retire my Storm and use ...
Re: Welcome to AT&T Wireless!
"a globe logo instead of some pin-drop feathery looking thing that nobody understands for a logo."
Nobody?
The logo is a blend of the former Sprint "pin drop" marketing image as well as the colors of Nextel's bright yellow and black logo design with its cellular service level bars that, in past marketing, would get "typed" from a single vertical black line
By all means, trade off a manageable service cost and great 3G speeds for Luke Wilson, a globe logo ...
Re: iPhone or Nexus One on Sprint in 2010?
Sprint's plans + the iPhone + WiMax= Buh-bye AT&T's dominance.

Re: Palm is going down...
*Cough* FANBOY *COUGH*
I carry a Palm Pre, HTC Hero and BB Storm, the Pre is by far the easiest and most untuitive of the three phones I own. If Palm tanks it will be a shame, the Pre is a great phone. Sprint, however, is doing quite well.

Re: Any Advice for a New Employee?
Nice. Looking forward to it. Couldn't be any slower than my previous job. Guest Services manager in a resort... in the off season. Slow as hell. 161 rooms with one occupied.
Actually, I'm looking forward to selling the hell out of some Sprint.

Any Advice for a New Employee?
I was just hired on by an indirect Sprint dealer as a store manager. Any Sprint employees, managers or otherwise, have advice for a new employee?
I used to manage several indirect Alltel agent stores so I'm familiar with the cellphone game.

Working with the DoD? Shame I can't dig up your name, I'd love to pass along a good word to DoD CID or the FBI spooks who did your background check. Though I'm sure when they do reference check on your previous employer it'll set off a few alarms.
Someone needs to point this thread out to one of his higher-ups.

Re: I have to give you props...
Guy is probably some knob-shining sycophant that doesn't practice what he preaches. If I had some lowly assistant manager shifting business to a competitor I'd send him to the unemployment line real quick like. Had a store manager who would tell customers about the great deals Walmart had, dressed him down and fired him on the spot.
If this guy isn't a butt kisser then he's an angry, pathetic ex-Sprint employee trying to pretend he's in the know ...
