Starting up a new line to get a discount/deal on a phone instead of doing it on your existing line, even if you have to wait a little while longer to be eligible. Thats basically the fraud. The whole issue you posted is fraud. Cust trying to get new cust pricing out of the company because they aren't happy with the current offers. Fraud and Phantom Churn.

Was making 10.00 in training. 2.5 yrs later making 12.50. Raise coming in a few months. But there are talks (rumors) about a base pay raise. Which as always. I will believe it when I see it.

I had a cust ask me for a credit on his acct so he could go to ebay.com/amazon.com, someplace like that, and buy an unlocked phone. Since buying an unlocked phone and using it with a card was apparently cheaper then paying the AT&T Wireless international roaming and long distance charges. We actually did end up offering him 30.00, supervisor suggestion, with a 1 yr agreement. The cust refused. Was looking for something around 300.00.

*but none are as easy to use with one hand.* Haha omg that is hilarious. Just the phrase not the ipod. I love my ipod. Have had it for about 1 yr now. No issues. And I use windows on my PC just got the USB connector. And your right. There is no better mp3 player than an iPod :)

As for your actual situation I know its frustrating so I would have suggested you get the customer care rep call the store or visa versa. I hope I spelt that close to right :oops: But I can guarantee companies wouldnt take the time and lawyers to draft up these Terms And Conditions novels and then they can be beat by any Tom, Dick and Harry. ...

You'd be surprised how many people actually have that mentality. I could live with 5 dropped calls a day or something average like that if the phone would last 5 yrs personally. But some people have unreal expectations of all the companies.

At least in primus you can email the steps to the customer so they have a visual for future reference if they need it. Thats really the only thing I like about primus. Oh I do enjoy how some red hats when they couldnt find the answer in Primus just said "check ccnet" :lol:

The cons of porting that I could think of....if the reps do not put the info in correctly then it could take a day or two before it goes through, basically until someone corrects it. If all goes smooth I think you are without service on your phone. For example on 1 phone you can only make calls while the other phone can only receive. So might have to carry both phones around till goes through. I would suggest ...

They have NEVER in the 2.5 yrs i've been here asked anyone to go home early. Unless they were being fired :wink: Even the past few weeks with a lot of reps waiting for calls. Never been asked to go home early. Would it be centre specific? Because I would think it would apply for the whole company and not just a centre.

Im wave 2 in Edmonton. Im starting about 30 min later then i'd like but I got what i want. My brother wave 28 got his preference for the static shift, but just about 1 hr later then what he wanted. My PCO's suck but my quality and attendance are great.

AT&T will not and does not unlock phones for customers. In or out of contract. If they do then they are breaking AT&T policy. :oops: I agree that if you are out of contract any carrier should unlock the phone for maybe a small fee. 20.00 or something. I dont think thats to much to ask. But I know of course people will want it for free.

Now I dont work for Verizon but if you didnt have a phone and were paying for no service. Wouldnt it just make sense to cancel? You said you didnt want to cut off your phone. But you dont have a phone. Unless did you just mean you were still checking your Voicemail from a landline? Thats one expensive Voicemail service :o

I've taken about 3 legite calls. Other 3 were just immediate dropped or dead airs. But I had this one guy who was drunk calling in. Got 2 other people in my center so far and has called overall today i'd say at least 20-30 times. And about 40 yesterday. Was a fun call :D

Next thing is people are going to be complaining about East Indian cab drivers. Its simple. Other countries need jobs to live. Americans didnt want them but apparently didnt want them to be given to other people. Maybe some americans need to realize we are all on the same ;) and we all need to help each other. One Sunday a long time ago I had a guy call in and ask for the Landline # to call back on. I gave him the # and got his acct up to just notate what i told him. Then in 1 min with about 40 reps available. I got him wanting to make a payment. I thought i was nuts when the same account came up that I asked him to clarify the cell # like 4 times ...

What you could try is take advantage of Cingulars buyers remorse to take the phone on your daily routine. Then if you decide to keep it drop your T-Mobile. If not just go back to your T-Mobile. And if you want to take your T-Mobile number then just keep the Cingular active, the T-Mobile active, and then ask Cingular to port your number into them.

Theres no ques right now. At least in my dept. I wasnt saying we could give it, sorry if it came across like that, but its just if a rep says they WILL give it. Then make sure they notate. Helps the cust a tiny little bit. Sometimes.

There has to be a way someone could add it to an acct. Whether or not the computer takes it off is a different story :roll: Most likely the system would take off the 7pm n/w. So if a rep tells you its on. Ask them to notate the acct and check your bill monthly.

I wouldnt count on it. They will probably just work on the systems so Cingular systems will recognize the AT&T phones or sell everyone a Cingular phone.

I wonder if Cingular would take the chance to replace the union with a non union convergys? hmmm. And personally, because i am canadian, i dont see the problem outsourcing to Canada. I mean its not like we all have thick accents. Just some people from Newfoundland ;) I know everyone wants to keep jobs in the USA but i mean c'mon. With the economy and conversion rate and no unions. Why wouldnt they? And if they dont ...

Dude being an SLR is nothing special. I make more then all the SLR's around here. And we are hiring about 20 in the next few weeks. So anyone who applies should get it almost. Unless your a complete jackass at the job. Im not applying because i could care less plus i dont want to be managerial in the slightest. SLR's are just people who do busy work for some lazy TL's.

I got the great 5:00-6:30 am starts :D I love being off early. Theres like 4 other call centers within 3 blocks of where i work so i wont have a problem finding somewhere to work i hope :) Go Dell, Telus and Atco!!!!!

I think you need to just take a deep breath and relax. If Cingular doesnt hire Convergys im sure some other company will contract them. Yes things will be different and maybe it wont even be a wireless company but we are all trained for customer care so they can use us. Thank god i have tenure ;) doesnt hurt.

Probably right after the merger Convergys will stay but unless the quality goes WAY up and they are the top centers. Probably will be dropped somewhere down the line.

Why do all you people have a problem with outsourcing to India? I mean yes i agree they should be able to speak english fluently before they get a job with an english speaking company. But i mean c'mon people. People in other countries need jobs and if you havent noticed those guys follow Policy and everything to the T. They are always straightforward and i dont believe anyone who says they were misled by a rep from india. ...

The only reason i would say its a ripoff is because if a customer pays extra to have roll-over (if customers have to pay more) and they NEVER go over their min. Then they just wasted cash. But its a nice thing to have as a coushen (spelling). BTW im not a cingular cust or rep. I think it would be great if maybe the more expensive plans offered it built right in.

I think its pure bullshit that you call other customers to see how the service is. And if you are then you should be fired. Its against policy to call people who havent called you. Unless thats your department. What department are you in?

Annoying to me are the people who give their phone to their kids to call 611 and just play. Or if they dont give the phones to their kids, the kids themselves. I've had kids ask me what time my legs open, one kid on Thanksgiving ask for me to send them a cheeseburger. One time a buddy of mine was reading the verbatim to disconnect the call and he slipped in on a kid prank call that santa ...
