After using our store's demo model I can't do anything but praise it. The keyboard on ours is solid. The phone just feels solid. I have two personal complaints. The integration of your social networking sites into your phone contacts is abysmal and I hate that feature. I was using it and I removed all the standard widgets except for the weather. The other complaint is the screan smudges super easily, but who doesn't put a screen protector on ...

Actually most companies pay about retail price for phones. The money isn't in the handset device, it's in the contracts. In fact 99% of the time a company sells a device at a subsidized price, they take a loss upwards of 30 bucks. When you sell several thousand handsets every week it costs. Not to mention that most cellular companies don't know whether they've made a profit off a person for at least 6 months after they sign a ...

3g is dual band, it uses one frequency for uplink and another for downlink. The N70 will not work because only one of it's frequencies is available on the phone, not both.

Maybe iPhone users should buy a REAL phone and not some child's toy with an excessively gimmicky concept. If people want a top of the line data phone that really does everything, they should buy an N95.

Fair enough. What I should have said is this is not a promotional price.

Or don't like big clunky phones or have no need for all the other features on a blackberry, don't want all the headaches from unstable operating systems, etc. There are some of us who prefer non-smart devices because we just don't like blackberry or windows mobile. But then again, most of us don't want corporate email on their phones anyways because we aren't married to our jobs.

Femtocells, as far as I can tell, actually broadcast a gsm signal for a monthly service fee. This is COMPLETELY different and completely incomparable. This is land-line replacement for 10 bucks a month. We do STILL have the hotspot@home service which allows certain wifi enabled handsets to connect to ANY wireless router and use it for service and for $10/mo you get unlimited calling while connected via wifi.

That's not right at all. Only ceratin handsets can connect to a wireless router and you can set up security so only phones you own can connect to the router. It runs off 802.11g normal wifi. The hi-port router is only for the @home service which is a land-line replacement. It works like a normal wifi router with the exception that it has two places for sim cards and two WIRED home telephone jacks (standard RJ11), to put a ...

Jun 25, 2008, 9:14 AM
in the Article: T-Mobile @Home Launches forum

The T-mobile @ home service is a land-line replacement. 10 dollars a month gets you unlimited nationwide long distance, unlimited minutes, caller ID, etc. and uses a regular home telephone. The telephone connects to a special wireless router with 2 spots for sim cards. You can have up to two lines per router. T-Mobile still has it's Hot Spot @home service which lets certain wifi enabled phones, like their new Nokia 6301 or Samsung t339, connect to any normal ...

and I love it. The UMA on it is amazing and the screen clarity is unrivaled. This phone supports the new facelift given to the T-Zones servce as well. As for the 339, I've played with it and if I were going to get a Samsung, that'd probably be the one, but I'm a Nokia fanboy so my allegiances wont allow it. (I won my 6301, btw) :)

The LX comes in blue and brown... I guess blue must not be your color... As for speed, it is sifnificantly faster than previous sidekicks and has a better browser than virtually any phone on the market. Unlike the blackberry and HTC devices, it load full webpages, not mobile ones.

Not true at all. Alltel has more than just a small mobile network in a few markets with extremely annoying commercials... Alltel has a LOT of landlines and DSL subscribers... With their owners and investors they could probably afford Sprint, it's just not likely and would be VERY economically irresponsible

They don't use it anymore? :o That could be the problem. I mean Six Sigma is still rather silly (and arbitrary) but it can't be worse than whatever "Quality Control" they're currently using. I would estimate that about 65% of Razrs are faulty. That's a huge number too. Especially when 3.4 defects per million used to be the standard.

Still slow compared to my Nokia and I've had 6 of them returned and with it's price tag I've only been able to sell 7. That's not a good track record. That being said, the interface is outstanding and the screen is beautiful. But it still has too many bugs. Six Sigma is a joke.

You're overreacting. If Sprint closed it's doors there's about a 99.9% probability that the infrastructure and employees would be absorbed by another CDMA carrier.

If I had to guess they'd be used for data transfer from device to device or comp to comp... possbily even for things like iPods and pocket storage devices in the future. The way it looks it wouldn't work on a headset because of the rapid on/off swtiching.

T-Mobile's version is the only one with UMA, in fact, T-Mobile is the only carrier that offers UMA. AT&T may be trying to develope it, bt they haven't launched it.
