It wouldn't make sense to provide a user accessible antenna port that would only work with the battery cover removed. The link was to a thread that had a message from a Motorola support rep confirming that the port you reference is a service port for tech services to connect to diagnostics.

Had to have Verizon update to navigator 5 because the phone would report the old version was current. It involved deleting nav altogether and re-installing it from scratch.

with v08, navigator 4.5.2 is the latest available, checked either with the navigator check up dates or the phone check updates, and Wikipedia confirms this. Perhaps they are rolling out a beta or something in some areas.

You need to text them to yourself (clips must be under 30 sec.) and then when you receive them, you can save as ringtone.

I moved mine from voyager and there was no change in volume. Suggest you take your phone and card to a verizon store, plug your card in, and see if there is a difference. It might be you need a replacement phone.

Apparently, at the time I got mine, there was a lower promotional price in effect. I see they are now much more than when I picked mine up. The new every two discount is $100 off whatever the best contract price less any rebate in effect.

Log in, click on friends, click on all friends, scroll to your friend and click on them, then in the box that says "write something," write something. It goes on their wall.
You can also send text, pics or movies to your profile, which shows up on updates to your friends. See facebook help for details. All has worked for me.

It works just like the voyager. You have to open it up to turn speakerphone on. The speakers still play if you then close the lid, but the lid is now closed on the speakers which muffles them somewhat. Whether you think that "works" is a matter of opinion. It's not a yes or no question. Go to the verizon store and try it out.

If they have iTunes drm, you can't. Well, you can but they won't play. Otherwise, just put the phone in USB mode, or get a USB reader for your memory card and copy them on from your hard drive.

Don't forget to turn off bluetooth if/when you are not using it. There is an available shortcut you can put on the front-screen that toggles it on and off.

Basically what I posted above, except that you don't need a reader; you can use the cable supplied with the phone to connect directly to the inserted card via usb (put phone in USB mode). Also, you may not be successful trying to save directly as a ringtone. Assuming you have a memory card installed, this is trivial. Put the phone in usb mode and copy the sound clip (mp3 < 30 secs only) to the My Sounds folder. Go to My Sounds, and text the sound to your own phone number. On receipt, hit the menu button and save it as a ringtone. I don't like those external sites because I never really know what they might do once they have your number.

A verizon company store should be able to transfer them for you. You can also see if your phone is supported by bitpim. If so, you can make a copy of the contacts and other features and transfer them yourself.

You can set the voicemail alert to every 2 or 15 minutes instead of once. Same with txt and video messages.

When you get to the point you are entering the message, select the lower left button which defaults to Abc. Select Word from the list. That puts the phone into t9 mode.
