I just did a search for LG vx8100 here in phonescoop and didn't pull up any results. Anywhere I can find info on this phone? Approx when is it due out?

Well, I've had the 7000 since July of last year.. and generally have not had one single problem with it. The menus are great - real easy to manuver around. Color is vibrant - ringers are loud & clear. The video and picture quality is decent, also. The flash is pretty much useless though. It would be great if it was bluetooth, or had speaker phone - but other than those two things this phone has been great. I'll miss it ...

Has anyone heard anything on LG coming out with anything new for VZW? I have the 7000 and I'm due up soon.. but the 8000 doesn't thrill me.. It's too big and bulky (the 7000 is already to big in my eyes), and I don't get VCast coverage where I live yet. Help? :roll:

Just got new video messaging brochures today for the store... And the phone showed on the front appears to be the VX7000! The release date cant be far off now.. a HUGE relief to those of us that have been waiting for this phone since God knows when!! :D :D

We sell so many of the LG VX-6000. I saw the new 7000 here on phone scoop; I was curious if anyone knows when it will be coming out? Thanks! :wink:

LNP - Local Number Portability goes into effect on Nov. 24. How is TMobile's service in the DC area? If it is anything like it is in North NJ - Go with Verizon - maybe even the Verizon Push to Talk. You may be happier with the service.

Oh, gotcha. Anyways, Verizon PTT plans are NOT at all cheaper than Nextel plans. They START at $39.99 ..... and they even have a Direct Connect only plan for $25-. If we want to lure over some of those Nextel users... Verizon is gonna have to come up with a better plan than what they are running now.

Wow. Plans are $20- cheaper for Verizon here.. odd. $39.99 400 Anytime minutes, 1,000 M2M, Unlimited Nights & Weekends... and so on.... PTT is coming along.. slowly.. and so are the better business rates... now its 6% discount on 5+ lines. I saw the Samsung A690 last night.. it looks good... nice color, size, ect. It seems durable too.

I don't know what its like in Michigan or Cali.. but here in Jersey, Verizon and Nextel are really the only two choices. (Sprint, T Mobile, Cingular, AT&T, ect. all have horrible service) My boss has a Nextel. Here I would have to agree with Cingular Guy- Direct Connect works about 1/2 the time, and calls never seem to go through.. and when they do... they are dropped. I use Verizon... and even though I can't highly recommend their Push to ...

We usually do not carry/promote the Audiovox brand due to the fact that they are quickly obsolete and have inferior battery life compared to other phones. I do not know if this has improved in the 8600. I have the LG4400 and I love it. (It has been through some rough times... repeated dropping, throwing, ect. and has held strong.) The battery life isn't the best; however you will find that with most color phones. The last bar seems to ...

Any idea why there are so many faceplates for the Motorola T720-T730 and absolutley none for the LGVX4400?? (If anyone has an idea where I could get one, please tell me!)

Not true at all. I have changed my TXT messaging promo many times during my contract and Verizon has not exteneded it. They have wonderful customer service.. just tell them you do not want your contract extended and you are free to change to any promotion you wish.

Actually, there is. Rumour has it that T-Mobile/VoiceStream or whatever they are calling themselves today is going under and Nextel is merging with AT&T.

Verizon may not be a threat in all areas; however it is a complete threat in New Jersey - at least in the suburbs. You couldn't get a signal with AT&T or Cingular standing on a mountain here. Verizon has exceptional service here... in fact it is the most popular wireless service carrier. :wink:
