Re: "Sprint will now forage ahead with long-time 4G partner WiMax in creating its LTE network"
Im confused too, so does this mean that sprint will continue to expand on their wimax 4g and drop the LTE that they have been campaigning that launches this summer? Or is Wimax also going to be phased out as already planned.
So what's going to happen with the Sprint Galaxy Nexus that launches soon that's been advertised as Sprints first LTE phone?
The GNex isn't WiMax compatible from what I understand.
Dont understand....
Why someone would still download an app that has overwhelmingly one star ratings, many comments say malware or virus and then whine about it. I guess we do need the government to baby sit us in that aspect as well.
here's the plan...
Sue HTC, Samsung, Motorola, Google, LG, Yahoo, Microsoft, AOL, Comcast...anything that has a search engine. Have the defendants product banned in various countries.
Re: Wow
Yea they are getting very creative with these lawsuits. Im sure this will be thrown out of court. I need to become a lawyer and work for Apple, sounds like a fun job!
Re: apple invented Autocorrect??
Apparently so and they own the patent to it. Im sure the German courts will agree.
Re: rollseyes
When Ford sues Chevy over the look and feel of a steering wheel. Ford claims to own the patent to a circular steering device.
rollseyes
Apple who claims to own the patent to a rectangle and slide to unlock (also the physical likeness of Jobs) is calling Google and Moto unfair who are licensing out legitimate patents.
Re: Motorola, HTC, Samsung, LG, Getjar.com, Amazon....
And hear Apple goes again trying to ban Samsung phones because of "hardware design" meaning shape, screen, buttons, camera(s) placement.
http://phandroid.com/2012/01/17/apple-opens-f irst-2012-fire-upon-samsung-seeking-ban-on-te n-devices-in-germany/
Samsung should suspend production of apples hardware until these cases are closed. I'd bet they drop the cases real quick.
Motorola, HTC, Samsung, LG, Getjar.com, Amazon....
Should all file a class action on Apple for patent infringements and petition to have Apple banned from being imported to the US. 8)
Re: Um... huh???
I'd take it for $99
Of course new and revolutionary.....
Practically the same thing as vlingo I been using for years.
Nice
Can't wait to pick up this beast of a phone for 9.99!
cool but...
How long till Apple claims to own this technology and motions in court for other manufacturer to stop production?
Re: this is not Price Line
Google needs to go after apple for copying their pull down notification system.
Re: Negotiate with Apple?
Apple is only interested in being the only smartphone available in the US.
geez
 getjar wad around BEFORE apple's app store.
Re: Who buys Samsung phones?
You think phone scoops biggest apple fanboy would know that its Samsungs hardware thats under that apple logo.
Re: Idiots!!!
Im thinking this eric guy is an iPhone fanboy/troll. Anything that makes apple look bad he makes a point to mention android is just as guilty even though everyone knows otherwise.
Once again your misinformed
Google android specifically asks for permission to share location data during the phone set up, and again when you first open the browser. Also allowing you to opt out if you choose. It was Apple that users were unaware of the location logging and not giving you a choice to opt out.
Way to go throwing android in along with apple over the "secret location collecting" again.
Im thinking I should unsubscribe to this feed because ...
I wonder what Verizon thinks about this.
Cause this carrier is the main culprit in locking down phones.
Epic fail
For copying android, next step is to Sue google for taking apples idea of the drop down.
At least rooting is easy
And pushing these junk apps only encourages it.
Re: I'm thanking Eric Lin.....
The ceo got a call that chuck norris was on his way
Re: biased much?
Wasn't talking about that im talking about you throwing android in with apple over the secret location software controversy, again android never made it a secret and informs you of location data and logging when you first set up the phone and also give a choice weather or not if you want that feature turned on. Apple did not and had to push an update that didn't include the location logging because of the consumer uproar. Your article is ...
biased much?
Don't throw android under the bus with apple when has always android made the user aware of location when apple didn't. I don't recall an uproar over android or users demanding location be removed from the os.
Re: Could they make this work on Verizon?
Not if apple had its way.
Re: hi
Att was a total pain in the ass when I was using their services, double billing, outages, foreign customer reps who I couldn't understand over the phone, continued to bill me after I canceled their service. I will never do business with that company again. I like t-mobile and ill be sad to see them bought out buy such a incompetent company. Sprint im sure will attract a lot of disgruntled T-Mobile customers and is the only major ...
Re: Wanna be a better stalker???
+1
Re: Any bets?
Android has the option to turn it off and on, also it makes you aware and asks for consent to share locations. Apple was doing this without consent and knowledge with the end user, also apple hasn't made any statement over this controversy as of yet.
Re: It doesn't look as if it was intentional
Not to mention courts can subpoena this information in divorce and criminal cases.
Re: Wow
Yep another slew of lolsuits from apple. Companies wont want to do business with apple, this is bad business practice.
how gay
Glad im not an eco-nazi
Re: u mean...
Apple was the first to invent Facebook, you living under a roc?!? 8O
Re: proof that...
I was, seems like the only solution to compete n the market is to Sue them for patents.
proof that...
Apple invented Nokia and cell phones, along with everything else cell phone related.
Re: Here comes...
Add it to the list of reasons I'll never do business with Att
sidekick
Good thing they got rid of that god awful danger os, looks like the sidekick will be a useable phone now.
Re: THROTTLING!!!!!
More misleading marketing from att
