Confused About Maps
OK, I know the Eris doesn't have the same turn-by-turn mapping that the Moto Droid has, so what kind of map program does it have? "Just" Google maps (non turn-by-turn version)?
Also, can you run VZ Navigator on the Eris? For me, VZ Navigator works fine and I don't need much more, but I've heard it won't work on the Eris.
Glass?
Is the front really glass? How does it look likt it will stand up to being dropped (which I tend to do.)

Is it a safe bet if I buy one in a Verizon store or by calling 611 I will get one w/ up to date firmware? I would hope that the ones that are being sold now have the bugs worked out. Also, how do you check the firmware? Thanks

Thanks for the reply; that was one thing I was wondering about, whether it worked via the phone or sats like other GPS units; obviously must be the phone system. FYI, I believe I read you can adjust the route. I found this link, it has some FAQs

Delay When Answering?
My GF has a 670 and often experiences a delay of people hearing her when she answers the phone. For example, she'll say "hello" three times and the person calling (most often me) doesn't hear the first two "hellos". Has anyone else experienced this? Any guess as to whether or not the problem is phone related or network related? Thanks in advance.
Why so inexpensive??
Why is Verizon selling this phone so cheap? You can pick one up for $99 as well as their buy one get three free deal. On the other hand, the Samsung 670 is selling for $129 and it's be on the market for almost a year (versus the 6100 which has only been out a couple/few months.)

Replacement Policy
My ST finally gave up the ghost. What's Verizon's replacement policy...the ST is obviously out of production and they don't carry referbs anymore. What phone will they likely try to fix me up with? I have insurance, if that matters. Thanks in advance.
