Re: international texting ?
May 20, 2014, 10:01 AM
in the T-Mobile forum

The international texting does not cover cruise ships, who have their own rates. When you get your cabin there is usually a flier with their rates listed. If you are porting in a Simple Global country the texting is free, incoming and outgoing. But on the ship, nothing is free. If you plan on using it on the ship, go ahead and hand over your wallet. Very expensive.

Yeah sounds like a coincidence that there was some failure of some kind. My gf sends me "adult" pictures all the time and the ones I have taken uploaded to my dropbox no problem at all.

If she changed her plan, then yes, it did extend her contract, and it is nearly impossible to get out of. Sorry.

InvisibleShield all the way. Lifetime warranty, it feels the best to the touch and heals itself. But don't expect a miracle. All it does it protect the screen from scratches from your pocket, etc.

Re: No T-mobile store carry Samsung Galaxy S III 32 GB?

You can buy it full cost from t-mobile.com but no store carries it nor will they. Order it online.

Re: Any disadvantage of value plans
Sep 18, 2012, 2:00 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

If it was a rep who was worried about compensation, he's an idiot. In store reps make more commission off of value than off of classic plans... Same coverage, just no handset subsidy but cheaper plan. Simple as that.

Re: New Restock Fee
May 30, 2011, 8:30 AM
in the T-Mobile forum

I work in retail. We've had a flat $10 restocking fee for a long time. As of 5/22 its $25 for a feature phone or webstick, $50 for a smartphone, and $75 for a tablet or netbook. Its about time too, I was getting sick of seeing the same people every time a new phone launches, upgrading and returning it 3 or 4 times during their remorse period before finally returning it altogether because "they didn't like it." This ...

Re: New Restock Fee
May 26, 2011, 7:05 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

That is EXACTLY why T-Mobile is joining the rest of the carriers with larger restocking fees. Phones cost carriers too much for customers to take out on test drives. This is designed to stop this habit, it costs each carrier millions in handset losses. So yes, choose your phone wisely, don't waste time and money just "trying them out".

Re: Any major sales coming?
May 24, 2011, 2:13 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

Don't expect those sales ever again. Yeah, T-Mobile made a lot of sales on those 2 days, but they lost more money off the phones than they made. Internally, they've made it clear that as a business decision, those days were failures and won't be repeated.

Stop talking about things you know nothing about. What your friend received is not a severance package. It is laying out two different scenarios: the $1500 package is the retention package, which he will receive if he is kept on after the merger as a bonus. The second option is a severance package if his position is eliminated. Please stop spreading lies about things you know nothing about.

Re: How do I check amount of data usage per month?
Apr 18, 2011, 6:25 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

If you have a limited data plan its #932#. If you have unlimited this will not work. The easy way is to look at your bill under usage. I think you can see it on your my.t-mobile.com page as well.

Yes, and April 13th you can get unlimited talk for the same price, but only 2GB of 4G/3G data speed, throttled after that. These promo plans will require a new contract, just FYI.

Re: Angry T-Mobile customer looking for advice/resolution
Apr 2, 2011, 12:59 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

Until the tethering plan came out, tethering was NEVER officially supported by T-Mobile. Just because the phone had the capability, T-Mobile as a company never promised it would work and never sold that ability. I equate you situation more to the likes of NFC. Phones are coming out now with NFC, but nobody supports it yet. When it does eventually launch, the carriers could opt to charge for its use. Just like tethering with the blackberry. T-Mobile did not ...

Re: In 12 months
Apr 2, 2011, 12:49 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

Most analysts have pointed out that AT&T's deployment of LTE on the AWS band would take about 5 years. They can prepare the towers without turning them off, so why would they turn them off and lose a ton of customers. Do you think AT&T cares about rushing their LTE? I can assure you they are much more interested in making money, and when a bunch of customers cancel, you lose money. They can do both the LTE rollout ...

Re: In 12 months
Mar 31, 2011, 1:11 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

Cut the crap troll. It will take that long just for the approval. The actual merging process will take several years, probably 2-3. AT&T isn't stupid, they don't want T-Mobile customers to churn en masse. By the time they turn off the 1700MHz band most customers will have already decided to go elsewhere or will have upgraded to an AT&T phone by then. Of all the worries people have about this merger, this is the one that carries the ...

Fragmentation
Feb 25, 2011, 1:34 PM

Re: Just an Upgraded Vibrant!
Feb 25, 2011, 1:31 PM
in the Article: Review: Samsung Galaxy S 4G forum

Don't be so naive. The Galaxy S II is still months away from a US launch I can pretty much guarantee. Samsung developed the S 4G already, so why not offer it in the meantime until the SGSII launches? Its not like they are launching this and SGSII is already being offered... you can't compare this to a device that doesn't even have a rumored launch date yet. For all we know, it could be 6+ months until its ...

Correction on the battery
Feb 22, 2011, 7:43 PM
in the Article: Review: Samsung Galaxy S 4G forum

Great mini review Eric, but there is one falsehood in your review. The Galaxy S 4G actually has a bigger battery, one of the biggest I've ever seen at 1650, compared to the Vibrant's 1500. Might want to correct that.

Sounds like an individual jerk, not the company. But yes, as flexpay, customer care is in the philippines. Do as others say, pay your bill for 6 months without being late and then you can come off FlexPay. Good luck paying that security deposit at AT&T and having one of the worst rated experiences.

I went through let's talk and saw no such promo, other than if I selected the 1500 minute promo for $79.99, which already includes web, which is why its "free".

Re: Data plan question
Jan 14, 2011, 5:31 PM

The answer was that it sounds fishy. And no, with Let's Talk they have very strict guidelines regarding any changes to the account. What is cool is that most Androids will still work with the BB web feature on there, so in theory, it should work without having to make any changes. And as for Let's Talk, I won't even click on their POS site. Read your fine print carefully, I have had A LOT of pissed off Let's Talk ...

Re: Data plan question
Jan 14, 2011, 4:48 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

I don't know how they would provide you a free data plan, unless they are crediting your account for x number of months. Or they are taking a plan like "unlimited talk, text, and web" and saying the data is free with it. Well, yeah, but its not free, its just included in the cost already. 3rd party retailers can't do anything about plans or cost of service, since those are set by the carrier, not the retailer. The ...

This isn't news. If you read the article, the author destroyed the plaintiff. No court will hear the case, and if I was the judge I would slap a frivolous lawsuit fine on the plaintiff. What a joke.

Re: MyTouch 4g HSPA+ Question
Jan 13, 2011, 6:30 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

Umm, wrong. HSDPA is just the "download" stream of any HSPA/HSPA+ connection. Its partner would be HSUPA, the "upstream" connection. HSPA+ is 4G according to the ITU, but there are many upgrades. T-Mobile starting using HSPA+ at 21Mbps and are doubling it this year to 42Mbps this year. Future updates are going to push its theoretical speeds up to 500+Mbps. So yes, very much 4G. The ITU changed its definition of 4G when they realized no current technologies are ...
