there are different pieces that get different software updates. some are just to recognize these "honeycomes" better.. others are for the phone themselves.. (usually the reason some phones have to be brought in to manually have the software flashed onto them)

if they ever cancel that offer on you.. say your gonna cancel, and they'll give you the promo again. my friend works for comcast and i usually call him and he hooks it up..unless he busy but i've been payin 30 bucks a month for a $60 conncetion.. for goin on 2 years now. =] same was with my cable till i switch to dishnetwork .. cause more channels for the same as the promo price.. sorry ...
managing registration by IP address?! (prevent banned from returning)
i can understand this would be difficult for those who are on the same IP address shared by employee's that use this site at work, but have you given thought to capturing IP address' at time of registration or last known post prior to banning to prevent previously banned users from returning?

actually it does. they are constantly updating software in verizon systems and in thier towers.. ask customer service, or a reputable tech at a store.. it isn't required, but it helps your connection to the verizon system maintain a better signal. ok, so you buy a brand new computer. you register once and do ONE update.. what then. something changes and they realize something is wrong. how are they gonna fix it? update. its recommended, but not required. ...

i also forgot.. you should dial *228 from your phone atleast 1x a month, just to have all the latest tower information for better signal quality .. i dun remember if its 1 or 2, but you only need to do one of them.. of all the vast knowledge i have. this one i can never remember, i end up doing both.. lol just to cover my bases

they currently over over the air transfer updates.. but some updates are too large to transmit over the air, as the technology stands at this point. look at it this way, would you rather it take up to 30 minutes just to download software to your phone that could be corrupted by the signal quality you have. where as if you take it inside for just a few minutes you won't get corrupted software. you get what im saying? ...

eventually tmobile will lose out, and go bankrupt. i know of quite a few employee's that have been screwed over to benefit the customer.. when a customer can just have thier sidekick replaced for free just because of cosmetic damage that THEY themselves did, they're only going to be able to hold out for so long before they pass those charges back onto the consumer. one friend in particular has gone through atleast 4 sidekicks in the last 6 ...

what do you know that you should pass on? im a sprint rep, but a vzww customer. i just got into the voyager. badarse phone btw imo. an i still got an upgrade in aug that i pondering using if anything better comin out with touchscreen. i've been through the V, the enV and now into the voyager.. LG has come a long way

how old is thier phone? they could possibly still be in an analog phone. that sounds like it to me. but try and get their phone model/make and research to see what technology the phones are running on. go from there. your probably right guessing its the phone. out of range eh. hehhe

you can't compare connection bars, for two reasons.
1. each manufacturer has a different amount of bars to determine what is strongest. like some makes have 4 bars, some have 5.
2. each make even model, the manufacturer has dteremined what he/she thinks 1 is equivilent to what in strength. it becomes a matter of opinion at that point.
while i don't doubt your numbers, you have to judge by clarity of call. to go solely by number of bars ...

you gonna pay about that anyway, unless you go with the low end honda's.. mine was 9800 out the door.. but it would have costed me 10,200 after taxes. but between me having bought about 5 or 6 other dirt bikes and quads there, they pinched the price a little. (after i asked ofcourse) as for a harley.. your looking at over 10k before taxes easy

that sucks.. i found out the other day, that when i use the cordless phone at the store.. it uses both our normal landline corded phones.. so you can't dial out.. i was on the phone with CS for 45 mintes.. had a customer that just needed to pay for his new phone he bought with a debit card, but because we couldn't make outbound calls. he couldn't use his card.. lol..

we jost reemed yesterday, even though all of sprint has been doing bad.. so it trickles all down to the employee's.. one of our best reps. who has like... 24 new acts. and some 15 upgrades so far this month (as of yesterday) and he scored the worst on phone prices.. lol.. we had all gotten quizzed on our knowledge of equipment prices.. so the whole arguement of why everyone was having a crappy month went out the window.. ...

i dunno what plan your friend is on, but verizon offers a $29.99 blackberry data pack... he must have added other features or something.. but thats an asumption you really shouldn't be throwing around until you check your sources.
