I had the iPhone 3G before I got the 3GS and the 3GS definitely switches much faster and consistently.

I have the 32gb Black 3GS and I have not had any overheating problems at all. I've talked on the phone at length, listened to music, surfed, you name it and I haven't had any issues.

I upgraded on my iPhone 2G and it definitely improved. --Lag time for apps, contacts, texting is gone -My Plantronics 520 now works with Visual Voicemail -There's additional info on songs, audio in the iPod app -Added a security feature if passcode is entered incorrectly 10 times the device will erase your data (like that improvement) I know there are a lot of people complaining that there weren't any new features added however I concur with those who are saying let's fix the ...

Service Providers will NOT give info to LE without a warrant and it's been that way for quite some time. Whether or not each State has a law in place is really a mute issue. Privacy for cell phone users is intact... without a doubt.

Downloaded 2.1, took maybe 10 minutes from start to finish. No problems downloading or installing. (Mac 10.5.4, iTunes 8, iPhone original) -Significant improvement with lag throughout -My bluetooth (Plantronics 520) now works with Visual Voicemail -Genius appears under Playlists after you sync and Genius has to be activated in iTunes So far that's all I've come across. The other fixes will become apparent with use.

What exactly is the update going to do wasn't really covered in "Let's Rock" deal in San Francisco. It was glanced over and just said "It would be available on Friday and it had bug fixes"... no real mention of anything new added... who knows, but the "secrecy" surrounding these announcements is just getting plain stupid... IMHO. If Steve Jobs thinks that "Let's Rock" was ground breaking in any sense of the word whether it was about the new iPods ...

I concur, that price is OUTRAGEOUS! How in the heck do they justify it? And if they're so inclined to charge so much why wouldn't they make it unlimited? Maybe AT&T is in bed with Exxon... apparently they think alike :o

You have a couple of options. AIM is the only current stand-alone IM app where you don't have to go through another website to get an account. There's another one in the app store called Palringo but you have to sign up for a palringo account. http://www.palringo.com/ There is a web based one, Meebo http://www.meebo.com/iphone/

Has anyone who has the first version of the iPhone, updated to 2.0 and noticed that the volume when you listen to your messages is barely audible? Also I use to be able to hear those voicemails via my bluetooth. Now I don't even have the option. Just trying to trouble shoot if it was the update or an app I downloaded from iTunes Apps Store.
