keeping the main lcd screen to stay on while making a call?

Ive figured out most of the features so far , really like the phone , but I'm wondering if there is a way to keep the LCD screen on while making a call, I dial a # then start talking but the LCD screen wants to turn off , something like power save mode but i disabled the function for power save mode already so that is not the issue. any answers are very appreciated Thanks Jason.
