Toy Story 3 was the best one yet. It was funny, sad, suspensful.. and it was the first animated movie where I almost cried. Bad comparison :x
only stock android phone?
I have the moto Droid on vzw and love sporting stock android. Would the g2 be the only phone coming out this year without a stupid manufacturer skin? It looks like I might open up a new line with tmo if that is so..
is this good or bad?
I know this would for sure benefit consumers, but does this help carriers?
Re: couldn't I do this already?
Nevermind.. I just saw I had 76mbs of internal memory left. Ouch.
couldn't I do this already?
I assumed this was already happening as I've been installing apps daily and have yet to receive a 'memory full' message. How many apps can you install on the moto DROID? I have about 200 so far..
Re: Blackberry Curve 2?
has it been confirmed that it's the Bold? what if it ends up being the curve?
That's amazing! I've never used a mobile browser with Flash Support. Imagine? YouTube! StickDeath! HomeStarRunner!! All on your cellphone. I think once this browser comes into effect, then Verizon Wireless will begin to require a data plan on regular phones as well. Any guess as to which phone will be the first to release this device?
Re: Question regarding sending pics from an e-mail address to cell.
Try email@example.com instead. .jpg is fine.. what kind of phone do you have?
So no GPS then?
Ok, so from what I understood is that the government can track you down if you're in a cellphone coverage area using 'triggerfish' technology. Disabling GPS would do nothing to help you if you're on the run.. is that right?
Re: wil stores open early 11/21
I guess the best thing to do is to call your local VZW store and ask for when they'll be opening that day. I called the store in my area and they said they were opening at 6 am! I hope I don't have to camp out to get one.. I'm gonna drive by the night before and see what's up.
Re: Storm on T-Mobile?
The FCC just recently approved the Blackberry Storm (GSM only). So you can purchase a Storm unlocked and wouldn't have to switch! The only downside is that it won't offer 3G since the Storm approved was the Vodafone version which only supports European 3G. So if you're fine w/ EDGE, then ur in luck!
Re: Question for Call Center Folks
Unfortunately VZW does require to have people on the phones everyday of the year. What I've noticed is that some call centers switch holidays you work. For example: if you work Christmas, then u would have New Years off or vice versa.
Re: Storm launch
That's all the hard proof I need! Thanks V, I shall now prepare myself for an awesome Sunday! I don't even have to take the day off!
Re: disappointed by the last bill after termination of service
Normally, there's not much you can do because the user agreement states that disconnections including port-outs will be processed on the last day of your cycle (5th paragraph: Your Rights to Change or End Your Service; Termination Fees; Phone Number Portability). Now since you were 3 days within your cycle, you can attempt to call and see if they can issue some kind of courtesy credit.. but it will be really up to the rep and if something is ...
Re: Problems in the future?
Of course with every new handset there will be some kind of glitch or lag, mainly s/w issues. It's a good thing that once s/w issues do arise, they can be easily fixed thru a s/w update. Hardware problems are most rare than s/w problems. If there was a major hardware problem then the device would most likely be recalled. Blackberry is known for quality. Not much to worry about if you want to be among the first to ...
Re: exclusively verizon?
Do you know if the Storm 2, Storm 3 will be released annually like the iPhone and iPhone 3G were released?
Re: hands on with blackberry storm
You have to accept the two year agreement within 30 days of purchasing the phone or else you'll be receiving a nice little full retail charge back on your next bill. After that, you can wait as long as you want to activate the phone.
Re: Blackberry question...
Blackberry devices, including the Storm, do require a data plan. 3 options: $24.99 10MB, $29.99 Unl Internet and Email (BIS), and $44.99 Unl Internet and Email (BES). None of these plans include text messaging. The reason Verizon Wireless requires a data plan for Blackberry is because Blackberry devices are always hooked up to the network (Push email, notifications). If users had a choice to be under a PayAsYouGo option, then there would be a lot of Blackberry data ...

Re: Loopt on LG 8350
That's what happened to my phone! I have the LG VX9400 though. My phone would turn off, I would turn it on and then it would just turn off after 10 seconds. I was able to fix the issue by deleting the app within those 10 seconds of the phone being on - Loopt sucks for LG phones.
Re: ATT hasn't really implemented 3G yet
Seriously. If they don't want Sprint calling their Xohm network 4G, then I believe they shouldn't call their HSPA network 3G since it doesn't really provide 3G speeds.
Re: I LOVE VZW!! (kinda long story)
This reminds me of a call I had about 2 weeks ago. I've never had to call customer service for anything big, but I wonder how far I could go with it.. I received a call from this woman. She was telling me how her daughter had had many problems with her LG Venus. She absolutely hated it. I offered to connect her to tech for advanced troubleshooting and possible fru exchange. Since she had been a customer since '02, ...
Re: Blackberry Storm will be available Friday the 19th....
Friday the 19th? But that was yesterday! As we all know now, it's not the release date. Friday the 19th (yesterday) is when Verizon Wireless started their 'Sign up online to get updates on the Storm and start receiving Storm mailers' campaign. Super excited for this phone. Cannot wait until it comes out!!
Re: GSM Version ( ala RIM 8830)
Can you unlock the GSM radio on the 8830 for European markets?
Android phones too?
Does this also mean VZW will be rolling out with Android phones too?? I hope so! Wouldn't that be awesome? :D
The link no longer works!
I tried to see if it would work now and it seems that VZW removed the page. So we pretty much got a 'look' at what is about to come..
Re: Has anyone been able to download it??
ok.. I called customer care and they told me that the service isn't actually out right now- pretty much verizonwireless.com is just preparing for the actual launch. I'm guessing that's when the Refresh model/V10 is out.
Has anyone been able to download it??
I'm having problems. The page just stays still as if it's loading something.. but nothing happens. I should call customer care.
Re: Silver Voyager?
Your friend sounds like a metalhead to me :P I also noticed this. I think something is to be released real soon. I'm guessing something will be coming out around August/Sept when the new G'Zone phone is released.
Re: Upgrade now or wait?
If you're a secondary or primary line on your family share plan, then that will determine if you're eligible for a New Every Two credit which is $50 or $100 (depends on ur plan; primary lines only get the NE2). I do know VZW offers a VIP program for the northeast area, however, it doesn't give you an additional credit towards the purchase of a phone.. unless you're doing an annual upgrade (early upgrade). Whatever you're eligible for is ...
Re: A frigin Batphone
Man! I'm not eligible for an upgrade. Anyone know the full retail price on this phone?
Re: We were told to dust off our resumes
Ouch. Where do you live? Most VZW call centers are always hiring - (same post, wrong dude)

Re: Verizon Wireless in talks to buy Alltel Communications for $27B (Interesting)
VZW would benefit so much from this purchase. Even if they don't get the 13 million customers, who cares? like you said, they can just grow. The main thing would be getting all that spectrum. There's a bunch of roaming areas that VZW has agreement w/ Alltel- VZW coverage would be massive!
Re: If Verizon and Alltel merge....
What happens if they do...??
When companies get bought out, what happens to the employees, service locations, and the handset line-up? Do Alltel employees auto-become VZW employees? or do they have to go and apply to be a VZW employee? Are the locations just converted or they just disappear? Anyone know?.. what happened when at&t bought Cingular.
Re: For $99 + $49 2nd line, I would expect..
burn. You remind me of those reps who advertise 'all the good stuff' and once the customer gets their bill, they almost have a heart attack cuz they were under the impression 'all the good stuff' was included. Unlimited SMS, MMS, and IM is good though.
According to phonearena.com, June 2008 - but I haven't heard anything other than that.
