When I first purchased the Venus my phone had the same prob many of yours had. The vibrate mode being so weak. But I recently went on vacation in a noisy place and could not have the ringer on due to not being able to hear it. So i placed it on vibrate and it worked smoothly. Did not miss any of my calls. So long story short either it was just luck or ...

No, bc not only do u have to press the unlock key it will only call one of your contacts. Acidently doing all that in your pocket is quite a bit difficult w/o a person doing it purposely.

I to went from all flips to this slider and love this phone. But the slider concept is the only part that did worry me. I wrote a review of the phone and that was the only negative. However, other than that feeling the phone has a been a dream so far.

I wouldnt go as far to say carry a charger in your back pocket. However, the best advice for you is to purchase an extended battery. It will give you roughly 5 to 5 1/2 hrs of talk time.

I would imagine you would have that problem with any electronic item. Look how slow our computers get when we download all kinds of music and software programs. My wife has I Touch and that whole thing slowed the computer greatly. That is the problem you would have with the Venus is that it acts like a like a computer that is how the touch occurs. The when we download that is problem happen.

There are many nay sayers about the Venus. However, there are many surprises that most people are not aware of. They tend to back down because of the feeling it is only "half touch" But the reality is about 85% of the operations or maybe even more can be handled by that half touch screen. I do almost every thing with touch. Also the Venus answers a lot of the complaints that people have about ...

I also wanted to thank you for all the help you provide on this forum. You make being a verizon customer good. Although, I wanted to let you know I decided on the Venus rather than the Voyager. I though it was more appropriate for me being I dont use all those advanced features.

The Voyager is tabbed as a fully integrated touch screen. While the Venus is tabbed as only going halfway. Here is the funny thing the whole 2nd screen on the Voyager is not touch. Doesn't make the Voyager only going halfway as well? :D

I have a question when you purchase a new phone and download GIN BA does it save everything as is or only the name and phone number of a contact. For example I am asking like if I saved an email address or even a street address for my contacts along with its speed dial number does all of that info get transfered along to the new phone. Is there any new info on the online preorder date for the LG Venus and if it still is going for $249 with 50 dollar rebate. Also one other question does it get shipped out after the preorder or does it have to wait for the phone release to be shipped. Thanks a lot reps you guys always come Through for me. :D

I want to thank everyone that has helped out. I do feel that in my situation it would be wisest to purchase the Venus over the Voyager due the the way I use features. :D

I think the Venus is the perfect phone for me. But the Voyager is like wow. But the thing for me I will not use the phone for email, internet or media flo or any of that other fancy stuff. Although, the qwerty kewboard is great I am just wondering if I should go with my gut feeling the Venus or go out on the limb and choose Voyager. If anyone can help it it ...

BloodiedWrath I just hope it comes out soon I am just looking forward to the Venus. It just seems so much more of an appropriate phone for me. As the Voyager is too advanced for what I need it for. Someone else has said it looks to be on preorder for 11/8 and released 11/18. Hopefully it wont be later than this. /;|

I am up for my new any two and was seriously considering this phone. But after reading other reviews it worries me that there is no back-up assistant. Is this issue getting fixed? Also, overall is it worth it to chose this phone. My current phone is the LG 8300. Thanks a lot everyone. :?
