it is a great phone..adding touchscreen is a big ticket..but it still doesnt compete with the touch or iphone...maybe with sprints lg260

yeah but the touch is on mine since i have sprint and its a similar interface...i dont see the voyager reallly competing on that all touch level its just a env with a touchfront its still no pda its a smartphone

well yeah first time users its difficult..you have to get use to it..same thing for the treo when i first started typing on it...now i do it without looking you just have to get use to it.

same things were said about the iphones no buttons..but look at it now..it received great reviews for its all touch..becides i dont thing the touch is for the business man..its more for the savvy they have the mogul for the business minded individuals along with the blackberry 8830

No but the KS20 is coming out for att said so on the FCC website..and that is a IPHONe killer especially with the 5mp camera.

True..but once the 4g devices come out...there wont be a need to ask what does it do..? i know sprint will advertise the hell out of its VoIP and 2way video calling...people will jump on that. Reason att's video calling isnt selling because who wants to do a 1way video conference...

Skrew that...what do you think is the way of the future..????? huh...? data...people back in the early 90's didnt care 2 much about the mobile phone but look now...people in the early 2000 didnt care to much about HDtv but look now...cmon man are you really that archaic

Sprints about to be the silent killer...and their adds prove it..sprint ahead...just softly getting the world ready for wimax...and this vdub lineup midly competes with the sprint q4 line up...the touch will kill the voyager...but what after that..what after q4 when the voyager and the tilt and the iphone get characterized in to 2007 vis a vis las year fads what then...? what do the 2 powerhouses have set up for .........Q1...???? how about thats when sprint will shine....anyone ...

i think thats what you meant for the Voyager is a smartphone..its a phone but it does alittle bit extra. Still its no match for a PDA not sure about all the data and programs on the voyager but not exactly sure you can sync it to you pc and add software.

and...by attracting these new younger consumers..whats palm doing for their main clientele..? the business crowd and the elite phone/pda users? people that owned palm in the earlier years got palm because it was the most advanced. Now who wants to keep their then $700 priced treo 700p when there's a cheap uglier version of it at 99bucks??? treo might attract a new crowd but they will loose a bigger market...once loyal treo users.

are you really this serious about this phone..? its not even that hott of a phone...the good phones wont drop until wimax...what news are you looking for..? you aready have the specs..and the release date..and this pics of it..what else..??????

yeah its asking for the password you first used when you sync the devise. if you have forgotten it your kida screwed only way to do it now is delete the profile on your computer with that username and start over.

Google maps wasnt really an addition..i have it on my 700p along with the maps..all they didw as take the antenna off..thats no improvement...and new customers..? they're trying 2 attract a youg crowd with this centro? its not even cosmetically attractive...the younger generation are more into the thin phase of things i.g. iphone razr 2 moto q who wants a old school looking treo..this phone will flop along with palm!

the states is in need of this...a commercialized umpc/pda all the pda's now a days are tooo similar with a punch that just doesnt cut it.

am i the only one that thinks this is the dumbest thing palm could release besides the Foleo..? what are existing treo users suppose to use..? they've created a cheaper uglier version of the once prestigious treo 700p 755 was a disappointment same os just antenna missing and a mini sd..now..it all gone to hell...Im leaving Palm and moving into the HTC Touch who's with me!

look buddy i didnt say iphone..i said ipda...or inewton...this will be a new device...different from the iphone...the iphone is a smartphone...now their working on a pda.

never mind 3.5 GHz is not available in the US..but in canada it is..so wimax there could be on the 3.5 but in the US it will be 2.5

i also hear wimax isnt just concentrating on the cell mobile market but as well as the household mobile internet..laptops..desktops..havent heard much of LTE computer partnerships...because of this..wimax has a larger commercial appeal...and a larger clientele base for sponsorships.

great point but over all which network would be superior..? is the wimax specturm or the LTE spectrum..ive heard numerous times that LTE could support speeds faster than that of wimax.

true..but is the FCC helping to fund this venture...? ithink not..so far verizon's only partner per se in this is vodaphone i dont see this happening anytime soon.

right...but At&T will also be deploying LTE giving Verizon a power roaming partner...now ive been told that wimax and lte can have a correlation to eachother..but moreover..if sprint will be the only wimax user it will be difficult on a national scale...

yeah but by april 2008 sprint will be covering 100 million people..thats pretty impressive...and by 2010 200-300 million

i guess your right i googled vx6800 only got 29,900 results but for the xv6800 i got 210,000 results..so i guess its not as esoteric as i once thought...maybe you should write Boy genius and tell them their incorrect.

i should actually add more..at least At&t gave it a 10year launch...and its not just me...several blogs have stated this..its common sense really...
