Because of the technology Verizon uses for their phones (CDMA), most of the time they are last to get cool phones. Not all the time, but often. The rest of the world uses GSM technology and its a much bigger market so often phone companies will release and make those phones first.

I had the iphone all weekend but unfortunatly my company wouldnt let me keep it since AT&T would allow the phone on business accounts. ( I found this out after the fact)
Kudos to Apple, they were very cool about the return and waived the 10% restocking fee.

apple is smart - I dont know about you guys but after I download 3rd party apps, although they are cool for WM, sooner or later the device need a reinstall. Maybe its my bad luck but this happend on the treo, Q, I730 every other phone I have had. I am gonna try and just stick with whats on the phone- it seems pretty robust.
Also keep in mind its apples FIRST phone. HTC, Motorola and Palm have dozens ...

Pay for stuff?
Unlike Windows computers that come chock full of useless trial program, my mac comes with everything out of the box.
There are SO many free programs for mac it would be impossible to use them all. Now that Jobs has opened up the phone to 3rd party developers, the sky is the limit for this phone

you wont see voice dialing via bluetooth because it wont work properly. it needs to be a crisper signal than what bluetooth is for it to work effectlivly
