I've had the thunderbolt for about 4 months now. My biggest "complaint" has always been the battery. So the extended life battery is a must purchase along with an otterbox case. It is not that bad of a phone if you like large screen devices and android phones. Plus, you are buying the thunderbolt after the bug issues were "fixed." But if you want to make choice comparisons I suggest waiting for the latter of the two to come ...

Ok, before the merger all smartphones on Alltell had to be apart of he Smartpack plan. So that means you will lose your unlimited for $10 because it is not compatable with smartphones. So I would invest before July 7th if I were you. Sorry for the bad news :(

My favorite phone was the Moto RAZR 2(V9M). As I traveled more, needed ready access to public bus schedules, tasks/information for school and work when I am in town or travel clamshell phones started to become more of a handicap.

Unfortunatly Itunes will not support it... which most will say "No isht sherlock." But Winamp will. Winamp's music file manager for media devices is pretty good almost as simple as itunes if you have used Itunes before. Make sure you have the most updated version of it to see what Im talking about. I use it to manage and play music on my ipod rather than Itunes. Especially for the eq.

Basically, yes. I remember when Dan Hesse took over sprint and wanted to reorganize the company, about 300 people were fired from a vendor call center here in Louisiana. That center, at that time, employed about 1000 people.

Acutally you can have different area codes or Market areas (CSA's) on your account but they have to be coverd with alltel. For example, I have a CSA in my hometown on my account but I also have my little brother with me with a differnt area code in the same town we stay in now.

I'm inclined to agree with you. You provide information...things happend folks wan't finatial compensation where there countermeasures in place to educate them about charges and bam! "I wan't this charge removed" says the customer... like it or not regardless of where you are in retail folks will never be satisfied.

Apparently you know nothing of EVDO networks vs EDGE... regardless if you are with verizon or sprint hands down you are going to get more reliable connections and faster speeds than EDGE mainly due to protocals and it is easier to build upon.

I was in the Baltimore DC area a few months ago and I had no problems at all.
The upside is as long as you have aN ational freedom plan you are cool, too an extent...The downside about it is alltel will allow you to roam for only so long. After a while they can drop you. I read it on the website on the terms of service section.

I' like the situation like that. I have the $5 300 msg package for Alltel and I don't send txt msgs often but I do a fair amount of MMS so a flat rate for just the all in one works fine. It is a hell of alot cheaper than paying $15 for all three svcs and I don't use them often.

It can only be backdated with in the same cycle the usage occurs. If you recieve charges for PCS data on the invoice don't call cust care asking to back date it for that cycle. It is not going to work. If you see data charges dialing *4 or we tell you in cust care that you have it durring the active cycle then we can back date it to start for the beginning of that active cycle.

Basically to put ringers from the card to be used on the phone you have to move the song or ringtone to the phone's memory. then you can set what ever ringer you want. But to the person you replied to on any moto phone you can not delete the preset ringtones. 8) Sorry
