So dont use any of it. Its all your choice. ATT is a company and companys are out to make money not lose it. My Cell bill teters around the 200$ mark as well but its MY choice, just like its your choice. You choose to have a PDA phone, the internet, and text messaging, so deal with it!!!

PS... I have the beltclip/case, that is magnetic. Could that be messing the whole phone up?

Periodically, while browsing the web, watching a movie, on google maps, or just completly randomly, the phone just turns off and reboots. It doesn't happen all that often. Maybe like 2-3 times a week. Is this normal? my friend has one and it doesn't happen to him, he also doesn't have all the media i have put on my mediacard. I put 2 movies each about 300mb, some music, and some pictures. One day the blackberry wouldn't even read the card. ...

Is there anyway to set a password for just the email folders, or the message folder, and not the entire device? my girlfriend is checking my emails when I leave my phone around.

These problems haven't been too significant, but for the price of the phone, i shouldn't have to have these little weird glitches and such. Anyways the new problem: I was able to get my 2gb Sandisc working and syncing with my mac. Today I had a simcard error, so I took out the sim, put it back in, and got everything working.I never touched the media card. For some reason though, an error message came up saying "Media Card not formatted" I ...

I don't really know how to PIN message you. I never formatted the card to begin with. I didn't know I would have to?

I use an Imac g5, and I know there are certain limitations as far as syncing, but i can't seem to sync whatsoever. I bought a 2gig card for the blackberry, and ONE time when I plugged it into the computer it came up a "no name" external harddrive that when i opened up had "videos" "pictures" etc folders. However when i tried to drag and drop files it came up with an error message. I tried unplugging it and replugging ...

I understand that it will work for the internet. What is still not being said is the specifics of the Email. Without the package would I have to log onto(for example) Yahoo, and log in, and check the email like that. OR Does it still push the Email Directly to the phone???? (as it would with the blackberry data service) Thanks for the help so far. AmericanDreamMachine.

Blumpelstiltskin- So what I'm getting from this is that the only difference is that you don't get Email? Are you sure about that, as in have you tried, or know of people who have done that?? Just trying to be clear on this, AmericanDreamMachine

In reality I could change my plan and try it out, however I didn't really want to screw up the email service or anything in the process. Also dealing with the prorated charges is something I didn't feel like dealing with if someone has already successfuly tried it. If I don't get any responces of ppl who've ever tried it, i'll probably end up trying it out, and then posting to see if wokrs..

BB Data Plan, or MediaMax200

I work at At&t. I have always told customers that they HAVE to get the Blackberry Data plan for unlimited data, and then to get text they'd have to put an additional text package on. However I really have not ever tried using my black berry with just the Media max 200. which is unlimited data, and 200 text for 19.99$ a month. Compare that to the BBdata 29.99+ 4.99 200 messages. It is 15$ cheaper!!! I haven't seen any difference ...
