S6 price drop soon?

I'm on cricket so I'm looking to purchase a full price S6. With the S8 release around the corner, can we expect to see a full retail price drop or the S6? If so, how much? I'll likely purchase from Cricket or on Amazon.

Like many are saying it all depends on where you live. In some areas Sprint is better. In others Verizon is better. In my case Sprint is better in regards to signal. If service in your area is good on both networks you gotta look at value and data speeds. That's where Sprint has an advantage over Verizon. I'd never spend the amount that Verizon charges for a Blackberry plan.

Web Browser Icon not populating on Blackberry Curve????
Jul 19, 2008, 10:16 AM
in the Sprint forum

I have an advantage employee line which is $45 for 1500 min unlimited text unlimited internet. I just got my Curve yesterday. For some reason the internet icon is not populating on the phone. We tried provisioning the phone multiple times. When I called employee accounts she told me that I need a blackberry plan. However the plan should come with included internet and when I ordered the line they specifically told me I was all set. Any suggestions?

TXT messaging on a MOTO Q / Web blocking
Feb 18, 2008, 2:58 PM
in the Verizon forum

I'm having problems receiving extended text messages on my MOTO Q. Whenever someone with a non PDA texts me an extra long message or a smiley it will send me only the first portion of the message followed by a second message saying "this message has been modified to fit your handset" or something similar to that. Is there any way to fix that, or maybe an app I can download to receive long messages like on a non ...

You used to be able to send 30 second or less mp3 files to your VZW phone from any e-mail address. Just had to send it to your phone#@vzwpix.com with the attachment. Now it doesn't arrive on my phone. Did VZW somehow block this? If so, how can I get split mp3 files on my phone to use as ringtones?

do you work at VZW? Do you know if the 8700 is the normal replacement? Because the first rep actually looked it up and said yes. The second rep immediately said no because it is not same retail price. I'm just wondering if it's retail price of the phone from when I bought it or the current price.

I've been through 3 KRZR's and VZW offered to replace the phone with a different make and model. First time I called they said it would be an LG 8700. Second time I called they said it would either be a brand new KRZR or LG 8350 and if I wanted something higher up I would pay the difference in retail price. Once the first rep told me 8700 I had my eyes on that phone so I want ...

*** correction *** 2) As long as you have any TXT/PIX feature you will NOT be charged for KB usage for PIX/FLIX messages, only for web browser and applications. But with web block on and you will never get charged KB usage and you can still send PIX/FLIX messages. 3) As long as you have any TXT/PIX feature you will NOT be charged for KB usage for PIX/FLIX messages, only for web browser and apps. VZW Reps...I need clarification on data policy...

I have an ongoing issue that I've been dealing with for almost 3 weeks now. I can't get a straight answer from any VZW rep. I've called care reps and gone into stores. So many different answers. Here's the deal: I got a Moto Q. I don't want to browse the net. I do want to send PIX/FLIX messages. I have the $10 Unlimited IN TXT/PIX pack. I don't have a monthly data pack. Here's what I've been told: 1) Without a data ...

24.99 10mb plan...other data plans...
Jan 11, 2008, 7:58 PM
in the Verizon forum

I want to switch back to my Q but I'm not willing to pay $45 a month. So I'm considering the 24.99 plan to cover my usage. I dont need the web but i will be sending many pix messages which takes kb usage. My questions are... - On average, how many kb is a normal pix message? - On average, how many kb is a normal flix msg? - 1 MB equals how many KB? Thanks for your help.

and with an entire month of pix messaging (approx 5 a day) it will definitely exceed the 44.99 charge per kb. thats what im assuming.

I'm trying to see if any VZW reps know of a future promotional pricing change. Maybe a lower unlimited data pack?? Because I've been with VZW for years and would prefer not to leave but damn, $110/month is way too expensive.

Re: 44.99 Unlimited Data plan...going down in price??
Jan 3, 2008, 3:38 PM

Cust care explained it saying that with a regular phone it takes airtime (usually one min or two) when to send or receive a pix/flix msg. But with a smart phone its $0.015/KB instead of airtime. Same with backup assistant etc. I asked them how I can prevent it and they told me to disable PIX/FLIX and just keep the TXT pack or add the 44.99/month data pack. I really hope that Verizon lowers the price of the data pack ...

I forgot to add that Verizon told me that if I dont want to get KB usage i have to disable PIX/FLIX messages and just deal with not having that ability. Doesn't make sense that if someone has an LG VX5200 they can and if you have a MOTOQ or Treo u gotta disable PIX/FLIX in order to not get charged KB usage. In order for Verizon to compete they will have to lower the price of the data ...

Well...i got a Q but was misinformed and now it's too late to return it. I was told that as long as I don't access the web browser I will NOT get charged KB usage. Well they were wrong. Everything I send or receive a pix/flix message I get charged KB usage and only one week into it I was already exceeding $100 in KB usage. And thats even WITH the Unlimited TXT/FLIX/PIX package. So I was pretty much ...

Here's the strange thing I noticed too... Friday evening around 12:30am my KB usage said 74.20kb. Then saturday morning it said my KB usage was 0.33kb. Now it's back up to around 100. Customer service told me that couldn't have happened...but it did, lol.

I've gotten about 5 different answers from VZW. Nobody knows what they're talking about... On my new Q I have not once used the internet including e-mail sync, web browsing, get it now...nothing. However #DATA says I've used 100 KB. How could that be? I've got the $10 Unlimited IN TXT/PIX/FLIX so I shouldn't be getting charged for PIX of FLIX. I don't browse the net. Does anyone know? I know it's not much but I've only been using the Q ...

Actually...it's not Motorola. It's VZW that chooses to put the interface on ALL their phones. And it's VZW that chooses what phones to put additional themes on. The LG 8700 or Chocolate does NOT have the original LG interface that you will find on LG's on Sprint, AT&T, etc. The original LG interface is on the LG Muziq for Sprint. Check it out. and REV A in Airports Sprint has Rev A in 927 Airports. Verizon has Rev A in 613 Airports. Sprint has Rev 0 in 1069 Airports. Verizon has Rev 0 in 871 Airports. Basically Sprint has Rev A in more areas than VZW has Rev 0.
