it will very exciting to use these phones. I finally had to switch over to sprint because nextel in my area was just to unreliable. I put my dad on one of the PowerSource phones, as he refuses to do without the direct connect. Finally i'll be able to get all the ppl on nextel direct connect with a sprint phone

I am in the "new" billing system, and i was apparently one of the earlier peolple. The minuite i saw i could upgrade to a Sprint phone from my nextel account i went for it. As a result i spent about 20 hours in one week on hold with them. Now, my nextel phone can still make calls, but not receive, my nextel number is lost somewhere, and my sprint one now works fine. However, ...

that was my whole point, whenever i use the Sprint TV or music store in a 1xRTT area, it is terrible. Sprint is far from being completely ready to launch a technology that can compete with Iden even slightly. I don't think i can wait

Finally! I couldn't stand nextel any longer so i switched to sprint. The ability to use the walkie-talkie between is so great :D but from what i have read/been told it seems it will still be quite some time before the Sprint PTT will match Nextel's. They mentioned Rev. A sprint does not have that widely deployed yet, and even with a year or so it will not cover the same area's as Nextel's. Hopefully they ...

:D Very well put. I was actually digging through h some old magazines. Consumer Reports Feb. 2004- Nextel- has the lowest turnover rate with 21%, fewer problems than most with call connections, and average customer support. Sprint-35% turnover rate, T-Mobile is the only company with a higher one, dropped calls and customer support have been a problem. On the ratings per city, granted Nextel does not cover them all, however the ones they do cover they are never ...

Are you aware that iden is Motorola's development. Their iden phone sales total somewhere between 11-18 percent every year, I don't remember the exact number for the previous year. Iden is used in about 24 countries worldwide. And about 90% of fortune 500 companies use nextel as the main provider for cellular service  Also nextel's average user price plan is much higher then sprint's was before the merger. Also consider, the i880, one of ...
