Possibly, but not for a while. at&t has a 6 or 12 month exclusive on it (can't remember which).
Also there's the issue of size. According to a few reports I've read the reason the pearl has yet to be released with Sprint/Verizon is they can't fit the CDMA internals inside.
...tho that's just hearsey- I could be talking out my butt :wink:

On battery life alone I would say this is a better product than the 3g razr. I've had one since... well since the day they came out, and it's an excellent phone. Great signal strength (a big improvement for Sammy), loaded with features, price is can't-miss.
Overall, if you want more flash the V3xx will probably appeal to you more... I like my lo-pro grey SYNC. Even replaced my NANO on runs.

You are absolutely 100% right. The iphone WILL NOT WORK until activated in itunes with at&t service. And when I say activated the damn thing has to be CONNECTED to the computer when you do it. That's what at&t gets from the deal...

I agree with the OTA statement. At first I thought at&t was behind the curve as they didn't (and really still don't) offer OTA dls for music thru their system. Now I understand why. The VZW and Sprint music stores simply can't compete with itunes... or napster, emusic, yahoo music- shall I go on?
Check it out. Even as at&t is about to launch the iphone and its' vertically locked infrastructure of itunes and itunes store, their most popular model ...

It's not just the battery life...
The battery wasn't the only reason apple chose to go with EDGE.
1) Don't forget the iphone has built in wifi. This phone launches the new at&t and the new at&t is more than just wireless, they're tv, landline, and DSL...
2) EDGE isn't so bad. at&t supposedly spent 50 million upgrading EDGE JUST for the iphone launch. Honestly I prefer my SonyEricsson's reliable EDGE 10 to my Samsung's spotty 3G. When it works it's faster than any vzw or sprint ...
Actually the iphone was offered to TracFone first...
