Re: A few questions

This is a late reply, but hopefully still helpful. 1) 2GB v 4 GB. I'm going to say the phone supports maximum of 2GB, but I don't know for sure. I installed a 2GB microSD card in my phone last summer, and had to update the software on my phone to recognize the card. The release notes in the software update specifically called out support for 2GB microSD cards, and there hasn't been a software update released ...

I thought I had the same problem - turns out I just wasn't pushing the card far enough into the phone. My son was able to push the card in easily, and when I saw how he did it I realized how it worked. Another option would be to go to a Sprint store and have them take a look.

Don't know if this helps or not - but here's a link to the online version of the sph-m500 manual: http://www.samsung.com/Products/Mo bilePhones/Sprint/files/spc_m500_manual.pdf The manual says to get USB drivers here: http://www.samsungwireless.com/usbdo wnload but, that link takes you to a page that references the sph-m620 UpStage. That page says the following: "To utilize the Mass Storage feature on the SPH-m620, no additional drivers are required using Windows 2000/Windows XP/Windows Vista. Operating Systems older than Windows Millennium (ME) do not support this feature and are considered ...

2 GB report...Re: Memory Card revisited - anyone using larger than 32MB

So I put a 2 GB card in my phone. The phone recognized the card ok, I was able to take pictures and save to the card, and able to do file transfers from my PC with Bluetooth, but the PC did not see my memory card when using the USB cable. So, I did a phone software update. I think I updated from ZH11 to ZK03, and when I checked for an update, the ...

Easy as can be - when you connect the phone to the computer with the USB cable, Windows XP sees the phone's memory card as an external drive letter. Drag and drop MP3s to the phone's memory card, then you can play the MP3s in the phone's Media Player.

Thanks for the info - that's encouraging. I think I'm going to give a 1GB card a try.

Memory Card revisited - anyone using larger than 32MB

So, the M500 ships with a 32MB card, the Samsung documentation says the phone will support 512MB, and 1GB and 2GB cards are really cheap on ebay - so, has anyone upgraded to a larger card, and if so, how's the larger card working for you?

The easiest way is probably this - 1. Set the phone to store photos on the memory card by clicking "Pictures...Settings and Info...Auto Save to...Memory Card" 2. Take some photos. 3. Plug the USB cable into your phone and into your computer 4. On your phone, click "Tools...Mass Storage...Connect to PC" 5. On your computer, click on "My Computer", you'll see your phone as a drive letter, and labelled as a "removable disk". click on the icon for "removable disk". 6. ...

Right - the headset must support the A2DP protocol. I'm using a Motorola HT820, and it works great for both voice calls and listening to music. The instructions that come with the phone and with the headset worked great for pairing/playing/talking.
