The 'One-handed operation' mode look like? Saw it there in the video.
Re: Data plans
I saw those as well but still seemed too pricey.
Am I missing something? Why does ATT only offer a 5GB/$50 plan for hotspots and other internet devices? I don't need 5GB and I don't want to pay $50/month. I was looking for something like T-Mobile's 2GB/$30 data plan.
But did you notice...
I've been looking at the Droid Maxx because the full retail was $400. Now it's back up to $600. It's VZW, we're not saving any money. :x
Re: Let's hope this doesn't happen
If they let T-Mobile run it I'm all for it.
Camera after update
Seems to of made my camera worse. Seems quicker, no longer shows what you were taking a picture of when you close running apps. But picture quality in low light or lots of light colors seem to be worse.
Moto X just updated
To Android 4.4 Kit-Kat, OTA. :o
Re: "more comfortable when placed in back pockets"
Girls do it, keep their phones in their back pocket. I see it all the time at work. You wear jeans, where to keep a big 4-5" phone? Not in the front pocket of girly jeans. The back pocket.
Businesses be lining up for this deal? 8O
Re: What happened!?! Ported out...
And to top it off ATT sent me the wrong size SIM. What's the point of giving them the IMEI if they aren't going to send the correct SIM? :x I needed a nano SIM for my Moto X. But I was able to trim the one that was sent to me down to size. And my phone is up and running now. :) But I still may drop by a ATT store and get an ...
I think it made my Moto X's camera worse, especially in low light. /;|
What happened!?! Ported out...
I have an ATT phone so I ordered a SIM card only, entered all the info to port out of VZW. SIM card isn't supposed to arrive for a couple days, but my current VZW phone quit working yesterday. :? As if someone completed the port out already. But usually you need to actually put the SIM card into the new phone before you loose service on your old phone. Little miffed that I'm without service for a few ...
Re: I have LTE where I live. . .but. . .
You're lucky. I live in an area where Verizon's LTE has hit the wall. They need to go back and improve these areas.
Re: Why no LTE on my Gophone
I went to an ATT store and my GoPhone SIM card wasn't an LTE one. Swapped SIM out and now I get LTE.
Why no LTE on my Gophone
I just activated a prepaid GS3 and thought ATT opened up LTE to their prepaid customers. I'm in a LTE area, but my phones not showing it anywhere.
Later this year
As with everything Verizon. Don't dare disturb the Droid line up.
Where's the SIM tray? Verizon site says "4FF Preinstalled SIM"
SIM card On the MINI
Where's the SIM tray? Verizon site says "4FF Preinstalled SIM"
Where's the SIM tray? Verizon site says "4FF Preinstalled SIM" Yeah, this one can be deleted.
Of these new Droids have a notification LED anymore? /;|
Re: Let's hope
Since the screen technology is the same on both. Maybe it has something to do with the smaller screen size on the original RAZR MAXX vs the HD. http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/compa re.php?p=3643,3904
They doing something about the HD's screens. Now that it's summer time I've really become annoyed at my RAZR HD Maxx. Direct sunlight outside, in a car, by the window even with the brightness all the way up I can barely see what's in the screen. Combine that with wearing sunglasses...forget about it! iPhone and Droid DNA, no problem.
Re: Voice mail notifications
GrinderCB said: iPhone uses its own voicemail system, different from the carrier-supplied voicemail that all other VZW phones use. If you upgraded from iPhone to an Android then you have to go in and set up the voicemail box all over again. Messages stored in the iPhone voicemail box do not directly transfer over. From the new Android, try dialing *86 and see if you get prompted to setup voicemail for the first time. That's the thing, I ...
Voice mail notifications
Not coming through after going from iPhone to Android. 8O Any ideas? And if I put my SIM back in my iPhone I'll get the notification of awaiting VM. :?
Re: Switched Sim Card and activated phone myself. Bad Idea?
It doesn't matter. People do it all the time between smartphones. If you log into your MyVerizon you'll see they already know what phone you're now using.
Re: GPS Always on
Right. But wouldn't you want the app to use when you open it. Not leave the GPS always running?
GPS Always on
I signed into my Google and now the GPS arrow is always on. And under location services it's highlighted purple next to Google. Turned it off and the icon went away. I would think this would be a battery drain issue if Google Now is always using your GPS location.
Re: Goodbye 20 month upgrades
Since it's a change in your contract. I wonder if you could get out of your contract without an ETF? :?
Re: Signal Strength
Check here; http://www.rootmetrics.com/check-cover age/ And here; http://opensignal.com/ I like Open Signal because you can see a carrier's towers.
Re: iPhone is for sale
Now it initially says $650 down. But keep clicking through the order and comes to only $99 down. Obviously working the bugs out.
iPhone is for sale
iPhone 5 is up for sale on TMO's site. But can't complete order. :?
Droid DNA Case w/Kickstand
Having trouble finding a case for the DNA with a kickstand. Only one I've found is Seidio's active. Which I'm not interested in. I think it adds too much girth to the phone. Anyone know of other cases with a kickstand?
Re: TMO 1900MHz network modernization question
adam2106 said: maybe this might help: "T-Mobile USA is in the process of implementing a network overhaul that will see it migrate HSPA-based services into its 1.9 GHz band that will then free up its 1.7/2.1 GHz spectrum for the rollout of LTE." Not really. But this article I found does. http://www.tmonews.com/2013/03/takin g-another-look-at-the-current-iphone-5-and-ho w-it-works-on-t-mobile/ The iPhone 5 releasing on April 12th: Model A1428…what will work? HSPA+ 42Mbps on the 1700 band HSPA+ 21Mbps on the 1900 band — this is due to the T-Mobile’s 1900MHz not being DC-HSDPA ...
TMO 1900MHz network modernization question
I was looking at the specs of my HTC One S and it doesn't have the WCDMA 1900. So I'm wondering with TMO pushing to spread their 1900MHz coverage to work with older iPhones. Are they shutting down the 1700Mhz? Therefore limiting phones like the One S. Or will these phones that were specifically made for TMO before their modernization continue to work just fine?
Now I wonder
If TMO's iPhone 5 will have their Wifi calling?
For clearing that up.
Re: STOP THE INSANITY...iPhone???
It supports T-Mobile's LTE network, in addition to HSPA+ in the 1700 and 1900 MHz spectrum. T-Mobile's version of the iPhone 5 will also be the only variant to offer HD voice. Okay, now I see the light.
STOP THE INSANITY...iPhone???
Okay I'll admit,I must be missing something. Or is it any iPhone is missing the 1700 MHz, RIGHT? Which TMO uses. So one's experience with a TMO iPhone could be quite disappointing, right? Because if you don't live in one of their modernized areas or LTE area. You're going to be still stuck on EDGE because none of the iPhones have a 1700 MHz radio. Why offer em' then!? /;|
terryjohnson16 said: Strange how we haven't heard a word about the iPhone being sold and how much on T-Mobile since they announced it coming. That's what I've been wondering as well, WHAT iPhone will TMO get!?! Because an unlocked one just isn't doing it. I'd like to see one with full support for TMO's network.
Re: Want to upgrade but still have unltd data
If you're going to do that sign your unlimited contract over to someone who wants it. Then start a new shared plan for yourself.
