I have heard very few situations of sidekicks without data. They are required to have data set up when they are activated and if you call carry to take it off later they usually won't. honestly the sidekick without internet and e-mail is pretty useless, they require occassional over the air system updates and if you just want a phone with a full keypad for messaging you can save a lot going with windows mobile or a black berry. ...

I would most definitely report it, I had a friend that used to work at a photo center and they had an entire list of things they were required to report, animal cruelty, anything suspect of being child pornography and so on, with the amount of phones with cameras now there is probably some policy your supervisor has on this sort of a situation, if not corporate should most definitely have some sort of procedure in place.

The Sidekick holds 100 messages and the SIM holds 30, I haven't tried to find a way to save messages to the memory card, I don't know if it can be done, most of my messages aren't really worth keeping around...

Well the Curve from Tmo works with Hot Spot @ Home so anywhere there is wi fi you'll get maximum signal strength using the UMA signal so even if you are somewhere spotty if there's wi fi you're covered, throw another 9.99 on there and you can get unlimited calling over those wi fi networks too, even without the unlimited package though you'll still get maximum signal strength on the wi fi just a feature of the phone

I'm not 100% sure because things can be different if you aren't established in the states but I'd think if you went to a store the worst case scenario would be flex pay where you'd pay your monthly bill in advance each month and pay full price for the phone, even with a high end phone and plan this rarley goes over $400 up front...

I haven't heard anything about screens cracking on the Dash I've had mine since last November and it's held up great even with the wear and tear I've put on it. I haven't heard from anyone I know or customers about it cracking either. I would however highly recommend the equipment protection. That way if anything does happen you're out $110 instead of $350...

Well I do quality assurance too, so I am big brother to an extent listening in on people, however this provides a few advantages for me like the simple knowledge that a 45 minute call will never be QA'd unless suggested by someone who heard it live because it's just way too time consuming...

I've never straight up recommended a competitor but I have made customers aware of what networks are in areas we don't cover, usually if they have moved to a roaming area. I did also offer to call another company for a customer once. I was taking a Sup call and the guy was such a jerk, he was threatening to cancel his "Twunny Fi Biness Limes!" which I knew was crap since both he and his wife came back ...

It does get disgusting to see the dishonest succeed while the rest of us struggle. No one cares if you are the "top honest seller" there's not prize for that, you don't get paid more for sales just because you did them right. It all comes down to percentages in the end and if yours are there then they will look the other way for the most part. I've been doing QAs for a while now and no one ...

Agreed. No finger pointing just because you have a job that requires you to wear a polo with a logo on it. I get just as many calls bringing down my percentages from authorized dealers and internal stores that have stupid questions for me or want me to fix their problem because they or someone at their store has told a customer telesales can do something that we can't. Sh*t happens...

I would say my best luck with getting the customers that want everything free is just making it clear that you don't care. Once you show that you really want the sale then they will start trying to haggle for hours on end. I usually just let them know I don't care, once they start saying they're going to move their current lines and such I just pull out the calculator and call their cancellation fee bluff.

Their spokesman has some of the worst hair I've ever seen.
I'll close with saying they carry CDMA Sanyo phones.
There's a lot more, I could hate on AllTel for days but I'd rather not spend too much time thinking about things I hate.

There are a lot of factors in that kind of a decision. I think the biggest thing has got to be your motivation, if you go to Sprint do it because you believe it is the better company to work for. Personally I work for T-Mo because it's a company I believe in. I've had the service since before I worked here and I have had a lot less trouble with my phone service than most of my friends ...

I started in the industry in Tmo B2B may 05, then I moved a way a while and worked a crap job out of the industry and came back to Tmo B2C november 06 so I've been doing this since about 2 years ago but I've had about 1 year and a month of actually working in the industry. This is a good questions though, I'm curious to see how long everyone else has been doing this.
